On October 4-7, 2023, in Athens, the research team of the NKUA – participated in the 79th Congress of the Hellenic Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (HSOST). The theme of the 79th congress was ‘Contrasts, Innovation, Excellence,’ aiming to promote a creative and innovative approach to the challenges faced by Orthopedic Surgeons on a daily basis. During the congress, topics related to modern diagnostic approaches, non-surgical interventions, progress in surgical techniques, implant design, robotic surgery, complication prevention, as well as patient rehabilitation and care were explored.
The 79th HSOST Congress was an unforgettable experience for the researchers of the OSTEOME project. They were able to share, through a posted announcement titled ‘NEW DIETARY SUPPLEMENT FOR OSTEOPENIA VIA INTESTINAL MICROBIOME MECHANISMS. PRELIMINARY RESULTS FROM THE ‘OSTEOME’ CLINICAL STUDY,’ the preliminary clinical results of the project and exchange ideas and experiences with other distinguished colleagues and scientists in the field.
