At the 16th Annual Bone Health Conference held on Saturday 30/9/2023 at the Divani Caravel Hotel, and attended by 800 participants, the OSTEOME research project members had the opportunity to participate with a presentation on the “Clinical Role of prebiotics and flavonoids in osteopenia” and present the project’s results to people suffering from musculoskeletal disorders.
The distinguished speakers included:
- Mr. Panagiotis Zoumpoulakis, Associate Professorand Project Coordinator
- Dr. Efstathios Chronopoulos, Associate Professor and the Project Scientific Officer,
- Dr. George Trovas, Endocrinologist overseeing clinical interventions, and
- Mrs. Memi Tsekoura, President of the Butterfly Bone Health Society
The audience exceeded 140 participants, and following the lecture, a compelling dialogue transpired between attendees and speakers. This interaction provided patients with the opportunity to pose questions and exchange experiences with specialists regarding the microbiome, prebiotics, and osteopenia.
